Who is responsible

This website is operated under the ALDERVYN trading name. ALDERVYN determines how the website and project-enquiry information described on this page is handled and is the controller for that processing. Privacy questions can be sent to info@aldervyn.co.uk.

The contracting party and any statutory registration details that apply will be identified in project-specific written terms before a contract is formed.

The website

This site is static. It does not provide accounts, ecommerce, advertising trackers, a CRM connection or a server-side contact form.

Project enquiries

The enquiry form runs in your browser and prepares an email addressed to ALDERVYN. Nothing is transmitted by the website when you complete the fields. Information is sent only if you choose to send that email through your own provider.

If you contact us, we may process your name, contact details, site area, project needs, correspondence and information you voluntarily provide. We use it to respond to and assess your enquiry, take requested steps before a possible contract, manage our relationship, keep appropriate business records, protect legal interests and meet applicable obligations.

Lawful bases

Depending on the enquiry and stage of the relationship, processing is based on taking steps at your request before a possible contract, ALDERVYN’s legitimate interests in responding to genuine enquiries and operating and protecting the business, and compliance with legal obligations where they apply. ALDERVYN does not rely on consent for ordinary enquiry handling.

Who may receive information

Information may be handled by email, hosting, IT and security providers supporting the service, and by professional advisers where reasonably necessary. Project information may later need to be shared with manufacturers, logistics providers, installers or other project participants to assess a brief or prepare a quotation. We will explain that step before sharing identifying project information unless disclosure is required by law.

Some service providers or project participants may be outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law applies to a restricted international transfer, an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards must be used.

What not to send

Do not send bank details, identity documents, special-category personal data or confidential third-party information through an initial enquiry. If a project later needs sensitive information, we will agree an appropriate secure method.

Cookies, logs and retention

The website does not intentionally set cookies or use browser storage. Hosting infrastructure may maintain essential security and access logs. Enquiries that do not progress are normally reviewed for deletion within 24 months of the last meaningful contact. Records may be kept longer where a project proceeds or where reasonably needed for contracts, legal obligations, insurance, accounting or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Your rights and contact

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access personal information, correct it, request deletion or restriction, object to processing, and receive portable information. These rights can be limited by law and do not apply identically in every case. No solely automated decision-making or profiling is used for project enquiries.
